Phew, finally! We've got a moment to sit down and write to you about our big experience at the Fashion Cures a la Mode event. The past day has been our time to unpack and put everything back in order and then let out one big breath. Behind the scenes fashion is so fast paced and hectic as well as exhilarating and lucky for us the result of our days of prep payed off wonderfully!
For those of you who are just joining us let me get you up to speed! Victoire is a sponsor for Ottawa's Fashion Cures a la Mode event, raising awareness for Ovarian Cancer and of course for Canadian fashion. Thursday night was our big night, we worked in partnership with Valerie Dumaine from Montreal and Dace from Vancouver. Being given the opportunity to work with such wonderful clothing reassured us that the night would be a hit no matter what.
The night totally set a chic, fashiony vibe with the church on Elgin and Somerset being turned into a runway haven for four evenings. The models for our two shows were brought to us by Models International Management and we were so blessed to have such a wonderful gaggle of girls to work with. They were quirky and smart and fun and totally beautiful, big ups to our models and to MIM!
Overall it was a crazy cool experience and now we know what to expect when we decide to do our own feroush fashion show in he future...but not too immediate future, it will take a few weeks for us to recover from the glamour of it all!
