Bancroft tops, 88$
However, today we got in some absolutely stunning hand-knit tops by YarnOverMovement that are making me truly reconsider the ring infestation on my hands. See, these tops are so so beautiful and precious when you hold them, and you can absolutely feel the love & time that went into making each one, that I handled them with the care usually only reserved for my tissue-thin and beaded vintage blouses. So today that meant taking off all my rings (and bracelets) before pulling one on. And it kinda felt good to lose all that clinging and clanging from my hands in exchange for the softest hand-dyed Merino wool.
All YarnOverMovement knits are conceived and hand crafted by Tara-Lynn in her Hamilton home where she lives with her hubby & daughter. She culls her inspiration from new wave films of the 50s & 60s, thrifted gems and old photos of ballerinas. Being a fan of her blog for a while now, she & our new pals over at White Elephant make Hamilton seem like a pretty rad place, a place I imagine having alot in common with Ottawa. Anyways, I couldn't be happier to add YarnOverMovement to Victoire's family of designers and we hope you give her pieces a big 'ol bear hug next time you come in the shop. Just make sure to take off all your rings before ya do.
This is me doing a dancer's pose (gah, I forget what position this is!) in honour of the ballet inspiration behind these pieces. Thought this deserved a little explanation as it was not quite as obvious as I hoped it would be and you guys might wonder why the hell I'm doing this thing with my arms. Oh, also I'm wearing the ComplexGeometries long leggings onepiece underneath this one. See how it's the perfect layering piece?!
